The G17 Gen6 COA is a full-size 9 mm Luger pistol with a factory-mounted Aimpoint COA reflex sight via the AIMPOINT A-CUT interface. The pistol combines the Safe Action safety system with the improved ergonomics of the Gen6 series for professional and duty use.

- Safe Action System: three passive, independently operating mechanical safeties that disengage sequentially when the trigger is pulled and automatically re-engage when it is released
- AIMPOINT A-CUT interface: the optic mounts directly into the Gen6 slide without adapter plates, for maximum stability and a low-mounted sight picture
- nDLC finish increases protection against corrosion and wear, particularly under harsh weather conditions
- GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB) with a modified polygonal rifling profile for improved precision
- Deeper angled slide serrations for better tactile contact during slide manipulation
- Ambidextrous slide stop lever, usable by both right- and left-handed shooters, with an enlarged edge to prevent accidental activation
